If you want to make sure that the exterior of your house looks great, there are various elements you need to take care of. They include not just a tidy garden and sleek cladding that suits the style of your property but the matching boundary wall too. How to design a brick wall, so it’s both trendy and secure?
The boundary wall is a fundamental feature of any house. On the one hand, it provides you security and privacy from the passers-by, but it also makes a statement to everybody regarding your taste and can be the very first glimpse of your personality to visitors. Boundary brick wall design is one of the most popular choices as it perfectly blends elegance and safety, offering you a solid structure that you can depend on in the coming years. So which design ideas will work the best?
This design idea is simple yet very effective. Just build the whole boundary wall out of one type of brick - but the trick here is using the same material on some of the parts of your house’s exterior, for example, around the entry or on one of the walls. Installing the same product in several places on your property will create a cohesive and trendy design. Of course, the type of brick you choose is all up to you. You can go for a classic red look, a sleek and modern version, or even some good-old reclaimed pieces. You can also grab a brush and paint the brick wall with a colour you love the most.
A more modern brick boundary wall design includes a twist on the previous one. Again, you may construct a wall entirely made out of bricks, but this time with a more intricate design. The bricks won’t be stacked tightly next to each other - instead they will be placed with some gaps between them, creating a lattice motif. They may go in a steady pattern throughout the whole wall or be installed just in some parts, providing you with more privacy.
Bricks don’t have to be stacked on each other - there are different patterns you can use on your boundary wall to make it look much more impressive. For example, choose a Herringbone pattern where the bricks are laid against each other at a 45-degree angle. Or you can try some additional popular techniques, such as Basketweave, Boxed Basketweave, Spanish Bond or Combination Stack.
Of course, you can combine more materials with good old brick. Plenty of boundary brick wall designs include wood, metal or PVC as well. Brick, as the more sturdy material, should be used as a base of the project and keep its structural integrity. Between the brick pillars, you can install, for example, PVC or wooden boards. Another great idea is choosing ornamental metal sheets.
So which modern boundary wall design ideas will you choose?
